The Danish embassy in Tbilisi is hiring a Social Media & Event Manager and Armenia focal point
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who will become responsible for our daily communication in Georgia and Armenia. As Social Media & Event Manager you will become a part of the political and communication team of the embassy who handles a wide range of communication tasks. Knowledge of Armenian language would be a huge asset, as you may also become the embassy’s focal point for following the political developments in Armenia, organizing events and expanding our network in Yerevan and beyond. We expect to organize big Nordic festival in Armenia next year. We are a small embassy and you will work closely with the Ambassador and Deputy on a daily basis. The position will entail a good amount of travel activity to Denmark and Armenia.
Tasks will include:
- Develop and create content for the Embassy’s social media platforms, and maintenance of the embassy’s website, infographics, briefing material and public diplomacy products.
- Produce videos about the embassy’s activities.
- Organize events, festivals, outreach activities, including public speaking, budgeting and fundraising from sponsors.
- Organize and accompany the embassy’s diplomats for external events and represent the embassy in your own capacity.
- Write press releases and respond to media inquiries.
- Maintaining and updating the embassy’s media contacts and databases.
Professional qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in international relations, communication or journalism.
- Experience with photography and in-house video production.
- Experience with graphic design Experience with budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication in English.
- Knowledge of Armenian language is considered a big asset.

- Positive attitude and good humour.
The position is full-time, 40 hours a week. A competitive salary package will be provided according to qualifications
Starting Date
As soon as possible. Note that employment requires security clearance from the Danish authorities which can take up to 3 months. The applicant should be eligible for working in Georgia.
