consular services

The Embassy can assist Danish citizens in need of urgent consular assistance, e.g. in case of lost or expired passports.

Please note that the Embassy can only assist with issuing emergency passports or with extending the validity of an existing passport on condition that the passport has expired less than three months ago. Should you wish to renew your passport, please contact a Danish Mission in the region, e.g. the Embassy in Ankara or the Consulate General in Istanbul who can issue biometric passports. Alternatively, you can apply to renew your passport during a visit to Denmark by contacting the Borgerservice (Citizen Service Centre) in any municipality.

Please find more information on um.dk.

The Danish Embassy in Tbilisi does not have a visa section. Foreign citizens who wish to apply for a Schengen visa to Denmark must contact the Estonian Embassy in Georgia or the Lithuanian embassy in Armenia. For residence permits and other types of visas for Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands, please contact another Danish mission in the region with a visa section such as the Danish embassy in Ankara or Tehran. For more information about where to apply for visa for Denmark, please see the following link: Where to apply for a visa or residence permit (um.dk)

Non-Danish citizens with permanent residence permit in Denmark who are missing or have lost the residence permit must contact a Danish Mission in the region for assistance. You should expect to need to book an appointment, if you wish to submit a passport application. Further information can be found on um.dk.

Note! The Embassy may charge a fee in connection with consular services. For further information and the list of fees, please visit
um.dk.
